As you may be aware, regulations within the first aid industry are continually changing, with more improvements and adaptations to be made, especially concerning the regulatory framework by which each qualification is mapped.
We would like to inform you of some upcoming changes to be made by ProTrainings as a result of the Office of Qualification and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) changing how courses are designed and mapped. All regulated qualifications that are certified through ProTrainings will change from ‘Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)’ to ‘Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF)’. We apologise for the anticipated postponement, although this was subject to the awarding organisation confirming the official release date for all new RQF (regulated) qualifications to be announced. Texts and phone scam calls can be used maliciously to facilitate theft and fraud. ‘Vishing’ calls try to alarm recipients into making payments or providing important financial information. ‘Smishing’ texts may additionally try to entice their target to click on malicious links, activating trojan viruses which can steal passwords and other high-value data.

We have added a date for the new level 4 regulated First Person On Scene (FPOS) course on the 5th to the 8th June. This course not only will teach you advanced first aid but also it will count as an FAW for instructors. Phishing is one of the most common cyber-attacks, operating through emails which appear to come from legitimate senders, they entice the recipient to click on a link or attachment which will then infect the victim’s computer with malware which gleans private information, which can allow the attacker to disrupt business operations, destroy data and steal money.
Anti-virus programmes are often bypassed by phishing attachments which use Microsoft office macros, these download the malware if run. Cybercrime is something that anyone can be a victim of, private individuals, small companies and large corporates may all be targeted through various forms of phishing and malware that you may unwittingly install on your computer by clicking a link or opening a file attachment that has been sent to you.

The ProTrainings Canine First Aid qualification is also available with an Endorsed Certificate from TQUK, for an extra charge if required. Endorsed certificates are not something that everyone will want but it does give an extra level of certificate if requested. The course that is delivered, is the same so students can apply for and pay for the endorsed certificate if they would like to. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that attended our season of training days and conferences in both Birmingham and Colchester. Due to the exceptional amount of interest in the three conferences we held, an additional conference was organised in order to suffice. This is among the best turnouts we have had at our conferences with over 350 attendees in total! It was a pleasure to meet you all and we hoped you enjoyed them as much as we did.
