New Updated 2015 Student Manuals

2015 guidelines CPRWe have updated all first aid manuals to the latest 2015 guidelines and added more content to cover more subjects to support the courses.  The non first aid manuals are also being updated and over half are now redesigned and updated. To download the manuals, for online, blended and classroom courses, login to your ProTrainings dashboard and you can download from there or from the instructor dashboard. More updates will be live soon to other manuals and slight changes to existing manuals.

Resuscitation Council 2015 Changes Summary

2015 guidelines CPRResuscitation Council 2015 recommendations we released last Thursday and we have studied the latest Resuscitation changes and are changing over to the new recommendations on our courses very soon.  The recommendations on CPR change every five years.  On the 15th October 2015, the European Resuscitation Council, ILCOR and UK Resuscitation Council announced the 2015 guidelines.  Our training courses will shortly follow the ERC and UK 2015 recommendations to ensure the latest guidelines are including in our online and classroom courses.

When the rules change, its not that the old rules were wrong, it’s that better advice is now available to improve the survival rates for a patient and improving the understanding of what to do for the rescuer. Read the rest of this entry →

ProTrainings win AwardProTrainings are very pleased to announce we won the Countywide Small Business of the Year Award.  The award ceremony on Friday was attended by many of our hard working team. We joined lots of other businesses at the awards across many different sectors and the night was sponsored by Essex County Standard and The Echo.

Free instructor update date set – includes 2015 CPR guidelines update

ProTrainingsThe date of the ProTrainings 2015 instructor update day is on Friday 23rd October at 9am in the Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham.  At the event we will include the new 2015 CPR guidelines that are being launched on 15th October and review the new 2015 teaching material and student material that is free to download for ProTrainings instructors.  The day will a also cover the latest changes to the instructor dashboard and all the new features we are adding to make life easier and more profitable for instructors including updated day rate feature and widgets.  We will also be covering updates to ProTrainings and regulated qualifications that will affect instructors.  We will also cover how maximise work you receive including day rate work to teach courses nationally as there is an increasing demand.  Read the rest of this entry →

Remember the October 1st 2015 changes and make sure you are compliant

The latest changes are coming in to force on the 1st October 2015 for the new Skills for Health and HSE rules.  Many of our instructors are already compliant or finishing the unit one of the assessing qualification where they need it. If you have not yet started getting compliant you need to look at this as soon as possible. If you have or are completing the Award in Education and Training then you will be compliant so the only thing you need to do is to finish the course and gain the certificate by 1st October this year.

These rules are laid down by the HSE and Skills for Health which must be followed. Please note that this applies to all FAW and EFAW courses not only the regulated options and it does not come into force until October 2015.

All tutors who hold either PTLLS Level 3 or PTLLS Level 4 (6 or 12 credits) will need to completed the qualification below as a minimum after October 2015 if they want to continue to teach FAW or EFAW courses. Read the rest of this entry →

Create a free training portfolio with your ProTrainings course login

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailWe have added a feature that creates and keeps a training portfolio direct from your ProTrainings student login page.  It is important to keep a training portfolio to track and prove your training and CPD. With this new feature, you can add any existing training that you have and experience and the courses you take though ProTrainings either as online blended or direct with a ProTrainings approved instructor nationally are automatically added to your portfolio.

Your basic contact details are filled in already for you and  you can add the training completed outside ProTrainings then save the document.  You can then download or print it to prove your training.  At anytime you can come back and edit it if you complete another course outside the ProTrainings network. Embed your ProCourses listings and your star rating on your website to take online bookings

You can then have online booking on  your site and manage your courses simply and easily from you instructor dashboard. You can also have your star rating listed as well showing the customer feedback on the courses you have taught and the video of the week.  Google likes websites with video and links so this could help your web placement.

Regulated Food Safety Level 3 course date

FoodSafetyLevelThreeIconWe have added another date for the food safety level 3 course in Colchester Essex of 10th and 11th August.  The course requires some home study prior to the course then two days in the classroom.  This will also you to teach the level 1 and 2 ProTrainings Food Safety qualifications and regulated level 2 Food Safety qualifications (subject to approval).

New widget – add our video of the week to your website or blog automatically

Video  of the weekWe have added another widget to all instructor dashboards so that you can add the free weekly video of the week to your website or blog and each week it automatically updates to the latest video.  You can access this widget from your instructor dashboard and it is live now to download the code.  We will be making some improvements but it is fully functioning.  You even earn commissions if a visitor to your website clicks the links to read more on whatever they buy.
