Approved instructor and approved centre stickers

Entonox video online course now live

EntonoxEntonox is a medical drug used in pain relief and we have launched a new video online course telling you the basics on its use.  Our Awareness course gives you the basics on how to manage and deliver it to a patient.  Entonox is a prescription drug and completing this course will not give you the authority to buy, rent or administer Entonox but it will give all the skills to help a qualified person to administer it and give you the skills to be trained with the practical side by an authorised person in your workplace. BTEC Level 4 Extended Certificate for First Person on Scene (QCF) blended course dates in June and September

FPOSBTEC Level 4 Extended Certificate for First Person on Scene (QCF) Blended is being run at Colchester on 5th to the 8th June and a new date of 4th – 7th September.  This is the new level 4 and it is taught in blended format saving time in the classroom by also completing a comprehensive video online course prior to attending. Completing the course in a blended format gives you more time to take in the information and the classroom part is much more practical and less theory making it more informative and enjoyable. TOURNIQUETTourniquet and haemostats bleeding packs are now available from ProTrainings and ITG.  We have made up 3 packs depending on your needs and budget and you can buy all the items individually. If you are going to be teaching tourniquet and haemostats dressings you will need to have some to demonstrate and show in your lesson. Epinephrine Auto-Injector Needle Length Report Published

ProTrainings FAW Qualification now accepted by TQUK for Instructors Offering Regulated Qualifications

Bandaged Dogs FootOur next Pet First Aid Instructor course is on Friday 8th January. The course covers all that is required to deliver the ProTrainings Pet Fist Aid classroom courses including dog care, cat care, canine first aid and the new advances pet first aid when we launch it.  You will have to complete some pre-study material before the course.

New Updated 2015 Student Manuals

2015 guidelines CPRWe have updated all first aid manuals to the latest 2015 guidelines and added more content to cover more subjects to support the courses.  The non first aid manuals are also being updated and over half are now redesigned and updated. To download the manuals, for online, blended and classroom courses, login to your ProTrainings dashboard and you can download from there or from the instructor dashboard. More updates will be live soon to other manuals and slight changes to existing manuals.

Resuscitation Council 2015 Changes Summary

2015 guidelines CPRResuscitation Council 2015 recommendations we released last Thursday and we have studied the latest Resuscitation changes and are changing over to the new recommendations on our courses very soon.  The recommendations on CPR change every five years.  On the 15th October 2015, the European Resuscitation Council, ILCOR and UK Resuscitation Council announced the 2015 guidelines.  Our training courses will shortly follow the ERC and UK 2015 recommendations to ensure the latest guidelines are including in our online and classroom courses.

When the rules change, its not that the old rules were wrong, it’s that better advice is now available to improve the survival rates for a patient and improving the understanding of what to do for the rescuer. Read the rest of this entry →

ProTrainings win AwardProTrainings are very pleased to announce we won the Countywide Small Business of the Year Award.  The award ceremony on Friday was attended by many of our hard working team. We joined lots of other businesses at the awards across many different sectors and the night was sponsored by Essex County Standard and The Echo.
