With criminals constantly devising new ways to steal information and money, one of the newest emerging threats is Business Email Compromise, also known as CEO or Chairman Fraud. First Person On Scene (FPOS) the new Level 4 course date set

FPOSWe have added a date for the new level 4 regulated First Person On Scene (FPOS) course on the 5th to the 8th June.  This course not only will teach you advanced first aid but also it will count as an FAW for instructors.  In January the FPOS course was upgraded and now covers much more than the old FPOS and it has been set as a level 4 regulated qualification. Phishing

PhishingPhishing is one of the most common cyber-attacks, operating through emails which appear to come from legitimate senders, they entice the recipient to click on a link or attachment which will then infect the victim’s computer with malware which gleans private information, which can allow the attacker to disrupt business operations, destroy data and steal money.

Anti-virus programmes are often bypassed by phishing attachments which use Microsoft office macros, these download the malware if run.  Links may look like they go to a seemingly legitimate website but these websites will exploit vulnerabilities in a victims computer to install malicious code. CybercrimeCybercrime is something that anyone can be a victim of, private individuals, small companies and large corporates may all be targeted through various forms of phishing and malware that you may unwittingly install on your computer by clicking a link or opening a file attachment that has been sent to you.

Christmas office closing

ProTrainingsWe are closing for the Christmas break at 5pm on Thursday 22rd December and will be re-opening at 9am onTuesday 3rd January 2015. Food Safety Level 3 Date Set

FoodSafetyLevelThreeIconWe have added a date for the next Level 3 Award in Food Safety (QCF) on the 14th and 15th November.  This course will allow you to teach our range of food safety courses as a ProTrainings and Regulated qualification.

ProTrainings Our last Colchester conference is on Friday 7th October.  If you would like a place please book early as we will not be running another conference and update this year.

  • Pet First Aid Instructor course on the 25th August, 13th October and 1st November which is now an Endorsed Certified course from TQUK
  • Manual Handling 31st August – allows you to teach ProTrainings and Regulated qualifications
  • Health & Safety 1st and 2nd September – allows you to teach Health & Safety level 1 and 2, Fire Safety level 1 and 2, COSHH and Risk assessing as ProTrainings and Regulated where available and subject to approval.
  • FPOSi course 12th to 16th September – This course will give you advanced first aid training and can be used instead of a FAW for instructors and used for event cover.
