Update on RQF / QCF changes to regulated qualifications

21 June 2017 in First Aid

ProTrainingsThe workplace regulated qualifications will change from QCF to RQF on the 1st October 2017 and the ProTrainings qualifications will be mapped to these changes.  From the 1st October 2017 the old QCF will be withdrawn.

The change will be fairly seamless for instructors but you will need to understand the new material when it is available.  The changes will not be major and we will notify you nearer the time when we have received all of the information.

The courses affected will be:

  • TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) will replace the level 2 QCF version
  • TQUK Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) will replace the QCF version

The new qualifications contain updated units which have been developed in collaboration with the First Aid Awarding Organisation Forum and the new specifications will be made available as soon as possible. The changes include clarification of some terms and alignment with the latest HSE guidelines.

Please also note the change of level from 2 to 3 for TQUK Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work which “better reflects the complexity of the knowledge and understanding required”.

We will post more information shortly and the materials will all be ready for a seamless change over.  By the end of the year all QCF qualifications will change to RQF.
