FPOS – First Person On Scene

With this EDEXEL IHCD qualification you can now use in place of an FAW for instructors. The course is five days and covers many different advanced first aid techniques and practical experience. The cost is £475 plus VAT and there is a course on 9th to 13 March, 13th to 17th April, 8th to 12th June, . We recommend this to all instructors to give you more knowledge and practical experience in first aid and how to assist the paramedic. Health & Safety QCF Level 3 course dates set to deliver our QCF level 1 and 2 courses

      We have set some dates for the QCF Level 3 Health & Safety course in Colchester.  Instructors who hold a PTLLS Train the Trainer or higher level qualification will be able to teach the courses listed below at QCF Level upon successful completion of this course.

HSE Publish Latest Accident Statistics

Published online today (31 October) the latest statistics on work-related health, safety and enforcement in Great Britain 2011/12 and includes the following key annual figures:

  • 1.1 million working people were suffering from a work-related illness – down from 2010/11 and continues the downward trend observed over the past decade.
  • 173 workers killed at work – data now indicate a levelling off in the previous downward trend.
  • 111 000 injuries to employees were reported under RIDDOR – a fall of 5% in the latest year and continues the downward trend.
  • An estimated 212 000 reportable injuries leading to over 3 day absence occurred (Labour Force Survey) indicating RIDDOR reporting levels around 50%.
  • 27 million working days were lost due to work-related illness and workplace injury
  • Workplace injuries and ill health (excluding cancer) cost society an estimated £13.4 billion (in 2010/11) – down from the 2009/10 estimate as numbers of injuries and ill health cases reduce

Want to offer ProTrainings Courses in Fire, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Awareness?

We have now launched our new classroom courses in the following subjects:

  • Health & Safety Awareness
  • Fire Safety Awareness
  • Food Hygiene Awareness

You can register online by logging in as usual and on the first (home) page you will see the courses listed at £55.00 plus VAT each.  These are the instructor upgrade.  You can complete the online course and then have access to the material.  Please then email the certificate to us so you can then start listing and teaching these new courses.

Other courses available in this way are Pet First Aid Instructor and Infection Control Instructor.  These upgrades are only available to approved instructors and the certificates are issued from your instructor dashboard in the usual way at £5 plus VAT each.  We hope that this will help you to be able to offer a wider range of courses to you your customers.
