Paediatric ProTrainings regulated courses changing from QCF to RQF on 1st May

27 April 2017 in Classroom Training, Online Training

Keep up to dateAs you may be aware, regulations within the first aid industry are continually changing, with more improvements and adaptations to be made, especially concerning the regulatory framework by which each qualification is mapped.

Regulatory Change:

We would like to inform you of some upcoming changes to be made by ProTrainings as a result of the Office of Qualification and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) changing how courses are designed and mapped. All regulated qualifications that are certified through ProTrainings will change from ‘Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)’ to ‘Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF)’. We apologise for the anticipated postponement, although this was subject to the awarding organisation confirming the official release date for all new RQF (regulated) qualifications to be announced.  However, we would like to thank you for your patience. New user friendly ProTrainings Paediatric Level 3 Exam for ProTrainings Qualification

7 October 2014 in Classroom Training, First Aid, Instructor, QCF

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailWe have re-designed the exam for students on the ProTrainings 2 day or Blended level 3 course rather than using the adapted regulated exam.  This is exam is much more user friendly and the questions and answers are clear to both the learner and instructor.  You can use the exam now and it is available from the documents section or the simple way is to download the required documents from the class page.  This way you get the right forms and in some cases the learner registration form is part completed for you.

Remember this is for ProTrainings Qualifications only and NOT for the regulated version where you still have to use the regulated exam on the dashboard that is supplied by the awarding body.

Local authority approval no longer needed for paediatric first aid training and Paediatric is now Level 3

11 September 2014 in Classroom Training, First Aid, Instructor

Child eye face cut small graphicAs a result of a government review, the requirement for trainers offering paediatric first aid to be approved by local councils or be on a council list, is no longer exists.  ProTrainings were approved by many councils across the UK and we appreciate how much of a barrier was placed on trainers.

Paediatic First Aid has been increased from a level 2 to a level 3 qualification so this applies to both ProTrainings and Regulated Qualifications from the 1st September 2014. Read the rest of this entry →

Child head injuryOn the 1st September 2014 there are some changes to the Paediatric Qualifications, they are changing from a Level 2 qualification to a Level 3.  This will apply to both regulated qualifications and ProTrainings qualifications.  There will be a new PowerPoint available which you will be able to download from your dashboard..  Please make sure you read and understand the new learning outcomes.  They are very similar to the old qualification, the contact hours are the same (6 & 12 hours) but the guided learning hours have been increased to 22, these additional hours can be met using the ProTrainings system by learners utilising the videos, manuals and downloads available.  The ProTrainings blended paediatric qualifications will still meet the learning outcomes. Updates to first aid PowerPoints

21 April 2014 in First Aid, Instructor, QCF

Zemanta Related Posts ThumbnailWe have updated many of the first aid PowerPoints on the instructor dashboard.   Some are minor formatting changes and we have added to the workplace first aid courses a slide on the contents of a BSi first aid kit.  The courses including Paediatric choking have the clarification on laying an infant on your legs when delivering back slaps and chest thrusts.  Finally, as the last of the Anapen’s should now be expired and no longer in circulation, they have been removed from the PowerPoints.  It may be worth mentioning this in courses and on the Anaphylaxis course, we have left information that they have been withdrawn. Remember the new Emerade is approved and its use is expanding.   Read the rest of this entry →

Do you have a training room and want more work?

11 October 2012 in Instructor

We are receiving a lot of calls for blended Basic Life Support and the practical day of the Paediatric course.  We are looking for instructors that have training rooms and are willing to set dates maybe 1 day per month initially so that we can book students onto your courses.  We need to be able to give customers set dates, prices and locations around the UK.

We will not be able to say how many people will book on as this will depend on the location and dates.  We think that it would be one day per month for Paediatric day 2 and BLS  evaluations initially, we are also going to need instructors for exam moderation for QCF blended training.

If you don’t have a training room and are happy to travel to customer locations to do blended BLS evaluations or the second day of the Paediatric course on site we would also like to hear from you.
