FPOSBTEC Level 4 Extended Certificate for First Person on Scene (QCF) Blended is being run at Colchester on 5th to the 8th June and a new date of 4th – 7th September.  This is the new level 4 and it is taught in blended format saving time in the classroom by also completing a comprehensive video online course prior to attending. Completing the course in a blended format gives you more time to take in the information and the classroom part is much more practical and less theory making it more informative and enjoyable. Paediatric ProTrainings regulated courses changing from QCF to RQF on 1st May

Keep up to dateAs you may be aware, regulations within the first aid industry are continually changing, with more improvements and adaptations to be made, especially concerning the regulatory framework by which each qualification is mapped.

Regulatory Change:

We would like to inform you of some upcoming changes to be made by ProTrainings as a result of the Office of Qualification and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) changing how courses are designed and mapped. All regulated qualifications that are certified through ProTrainings will change from ‘Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF)’ to ‘Regulated Qualification Framework (RQF)’. We apologise for the anticipated postponement, although this was subject to the awarding organisation confirming the official release date for all new RQF (regulated) qualifications to be announced.  However, we would like to thank you for your patience. First Person On Scene (FPOS) the new Level 4 course date set

FPOSWe have added a date for the new level 4 regulated First Person On Scene (FPOS) course on the 5th to the 8th June.  This course not only will teach you advanced first aid but also it will count as an FAW for instructors.  In January the FPOS course was upgraded and now covers much more than the old FPOS and it has been set as a level 4 regulated qualification. Phishing

PhishingPhishing is one of the most common cyber-attacks, operating through emails which appear to come from legitimate senders, they entice the recipient to click on a link or attachment which will then infect the victim’s computer with malware which gleans private information, which can allow the attacker to disrupt business operations, destroy data and steal money.

Anti-virus programmes are often bypassed by phishing attachments which use Microsoft office macros, these download the malware if run.  Links may look like they go to a seemingly legitimate website but these websites will exploit vulnerabilities in a victims computer to install malicious code. Christmas office closing

ProTrainingsWe are closing for the Christmas break at 5pm on Thursday 22rd December and will be re-opening at 9am onTuesday 3rd January 2015. canine first aidThe ProTrainings Canine First Aid qualification is also available with an Endorsed Certificate from TQUK, for an extra charge if required.  Endorsed certificates are not something that everyone will want but it does give an extra level of certificate if requested.  The course that is delivered, is the same so students can apply for and pay for the endorsed certificate if they would like to.  Instructors pass the class as usual then request and pay for the endorsed certificate direct to ProTrainings.
